Design of Circuit Emulation over Ethernet
Abstract
In Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), CESoE is specified for transporting E1/T1 signals over Metro Ethernet. The TDMoE device is designed to meet the MEF standards. Leased Line TDM services can be replaced by the CES over Ethernet to save cost. In the design, clock recovery technique is the crucial key to the TDMoE device. Latency and Frame Delay variation will affect voice performance when CESoE technique is used.
