Theme and Scope Internet of Things (IoT) technology gradually become part of life. The combinations and integrations of emerging technologies, i.e. 5G, AI, and Blockchain, will direct the future development of IoT industry. Thus, dynamically interactions within network are essential to the connections of intelligent machines. The collaborations of digital twins require the provision of sensor data, which contained pervasive cyber-physical systems consisting of physical objects. Hence, this special issue devoted a demand to reflect future applications and significant research challenges, and focuses on the discussion on research results of IoT technologies plunged into intelligent society and industry. Therefore, the special issue would refer to more practical and useful approaches in, e.g., healthcare, safety, retail, financial, energy audio-visual, or legal industries, which are closely connected to future developments of IoT. Original submissions regarding all areas related to advances on applications, methods and approaches envisioning to discourse the new challenges in IoT technologies are applicable. Topics appropriate for this special issue include, but are not limited to:
