Priority Based Scheduling in WiMAX System
Abstract
In this paper, we propose an approach which combines the priority scheduling with the resource allocation over the WiMAX wireless network to increase the throughput and reduce the delay between the base station and subscriber stations. The simulation is conducted by using Network Simulator-2 to compare the performance of the proposed scheme with other scheduling schemes. The results show that our proposed scheme experiences acceptable delay for different serviceflow types as compared with other schemes. Furthermore, the uplink throughput of the proposed scheme is about 1.5 times better than other schemes.
