Abstract

Nowadays, wireless P2P architecture has been widely adopted as a new computing paradigm for wireless devices, through which users can conveniently deliver multi-media files/data. Under such an environment/architecture, if a user can establish multiple concurrent P2P connections to transfer multiple files/data simultaneously, data transfer speed and communication stability can be then effectively increased and enhanced, respectively. In this paper, we present a P2P file sharing platform which integrates with Data Grid system to serve mobile user so that the users can share files with other peers by using mobile devices. We also apply functions of a Data Grid system to deal with file location discovery and client authentication. This platform deploys GridFTP protocol as its file transfer protocol for mobile devices.
