Navigational Patterns on Usable Mobile News Portals

Abstract


The declining screen size of the mobile phones make mobile news portals difficult to be presented efficiently. Although much effort has been contributed to improve the navigation and usability on the mobile news portals, it gains less popularity among the mobile users. It gives a poor user experience while navigating the mobile news. This paper considers the usability issues when navigating the mobile news portals. The aims of this paper is examining and proposing the suitable web navigation patterns to be designed for the mobile news portals. The research outcomes established that the cross-linked navigation pattern significantly promotes the navigation and the usability concern on the mobile news portals.
