Implementation of RSVP-TE on MPLS Routers with Embedded Network Processors
Abstract
In this paper, we propose an MPLS router architecture to support Traffic Engineering (TE) and describe implementation of RSVP Extensions for LSP tunnels. The MPLS router architecture and the RSVP-TE implementation are based on the IXP1200 EB network processor platform. We conduct validation tests by using Agilent RouterTester 900 to validate our RSVP-TE Daemon implementation.
