Guest Editorial: Selected Papers from TANET 2015 Conference

Abstract

This special issue publishes four papers selected from TANET 2015 conference. Taiwan Academic Network Conference (TANET), held annually in Taiwan, addresses management and service issues in Taiwan's academic networks as well as the Internet. Among the topics listed in the conference, mobility and security constantly receive attention for their diversity across different networks and applications. In this special issue, a paper presents a design of a roadside unit middle in vehicular ad-hoc networks, and another one proposes algorithms for effective roaming and network sharing among heterogeneous wireless networks. Both papers address the mobility issue from the perspective of network management in wireless and mobile networks. The other two papers discuss malicious attacks and software quality in web applications respectively. Both topics are essential and fundamental to web security.
