A Novel Secure Image Steganography Using Improved Logistic Map and DNA Techniques
Abstract
In this paper a secure steganography algorithm which is based on improved logistic map and DNA sequence is proposed. Canny edge detection is also utilized in this new scheme. The improved logistic map is more sensitive to initial condition than logistic map and efficiently expands key space for cryptographic system. The two-by-two complementary rule is presented in this paper. The number of legal DNA complementary rules is 15!. It is far more than traditional complementary rule which is total 6 legal rules. Secret image is changed into DNA matrix according to mapping rule. Then DNA encoded matrix is converted to 1-D bit streams and 1-D binary bit streams are scrambled. Canny edge detector is applied to detect the edge pixels of cover image. Two secret bits are embedded in edge pixels of host image. The experiments show that the proposed scheme is superior to other schemes in peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and the image fidelity (IF) values.
