Abstract

In this paper, we propose an integrated ticketing framework for various transportations. This integration of receipts required by various transportation types was primarily achieved by using the characteristics of mobile tickets. Users can qualify for ticket purchasing through a member registration, and the transport tickets needed for a single trip could be booked in a ticketing system that receiving cooperation from various transportation companies. This would help users by saving information for different trips to each individual company used for tickets, saving them time and other complicated procedures. After a purchase, related receipt information and mobile tickets would be saved in the form of a QR code using the user’s smart handheld device. The user could then just show this mobile ticket for sensor verification during transit, thus greatly increasing the level of convenience. The transmission of data throughout this ticketing framework would be encrypted with symmetric keys and one-way hash functions to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the transmitted data.
