Special Issue: International Conference on Innovation, Communication and Engineering 2024 (ICICE 2024)

Theme and Scope

AI technologies have brought significant changes to the industry, and these changes are likely to continue influencing the community in the post-pandemic era. Here are some potential prospects of AI technologies for science and industry:

1. Enhanced Data Analysis and Predictive Capabilities: AI technologies have shown great potential in data analysis and predictive capabilities. Companies and research institutions use AI to process and analyze large volumes of data, allowing for more accurate predictions of market trends, consumer behavior, and scientific research directions. This not only improves decision-making accuracy but also significantly reduces the time required for analysis, enhancing operational efficiency and competitiveness. For example, AI can analyze medical data to predict disease outbreaks in advance and develop effective countermeasures.

2. Intelligent Automation and Productivity Improvement: The application of AI technologies in automation has dramatically changed traditional workflows. By incorporating machine learning and natural language processing technologies, many repetitive and low-value tasks can be automated, freeing up human resources to focus on more creative and strategic tasks. Intelligent manufacturing systems in the industrial sector, intelligent customer service in the financial industry, and automated delivery systems in logistics are all typical examples of AI-driven intelligent automation.

3. Personalized Experiences and Service Innovation: AI technologies enable companies to offer highly personalized products and services based on individual needs and preferences. By using deep learning algorithms to analyze user data, companies can provide customized recommendations and service plans for each consumer, thereby improving customer satisfaction and loyalty. For instance, e-commerce platforms use AI to recommend products to consumers, and streaming services offer personalized content recommendations, all of which significantly enhance user experience and market competitiveness.

4. Enhanced Security and Risk Management: With the rapid growth of data and the evolving nature of cyber threats, the application of AI in security and risk management has become increasingly important. AI technologies can monitor and analyze network activities in real-time, quickly identifying and responding to potential security threats, thereby significantly improving the security protection capabilities of enterprises and organizations. Additionally, AI plays a crucial role in risk management in the financial sector by analyzing transaction data and market trends to help companies predict and manage risks, ensuring stable business operations.

This special issue will systematically overview and present the latest research in network technology, computing, IoT, and computer engineering technology, with a special focus on artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing, and blockchain technologies. It will outline new developments in fundamental approaches, methodologies, software systems, and applications in these areas.
