Modifying Lee Method of Estimating Local Mean Signal Power
Abstract
The Lee method of estimating local mean signal was developed for a Rayleigh distribution in mobile communications [1]. This paper describes an improved method by considering the correlation between different sampling points, the mutual influence between statistical interval and sampling interval, based on the Lee method. The pivotal parameters of estimating local mean, which include statistical interval, sampling interval and sampling points, of the local mean of a mobile radio signal is described.
