Abstract

This article proposes an Application Level Gateway (ALG) to support IPv6-IPv4 interworking for SIP applications. We describe four scenarios to deploy the SIP-based VoIPv6 applications. Based on these scenarios, we provide detailed message flows to show how SIP messages can be translated by the SIP-ALG and transparently routed between IPv6 and IPv4 networks.
