Abstract

In the Internet of Things (IoT), optimization design of wireless communication systems plays an important role for improving the communication quality and reducing the system complexity. In this paper, in order to make the LDPC coded systems work well for the IoT, optimization design of differentially encoded LDPC coded systems for IoT is studied. An improved multiple-symbol differential detection (MSDD) scheme named CEMSDD is first proposed for improving the performance of MSDD softinput soft-output (SISO) demodulator. Furthermore, in order to further improving the system performance, an optimization method of LDPC design for the considered systems is then proposed. By computer simulations, the system performance can be effectively improved by the proposed CEMSDD approach and the optimized LDPC codes obtained by the proposed method.
