The Deployment Experience and Survey of the Cooperative Caching Proxy Server

Abstract

The objective of this paper is two-folded. The former is to report the experience of the deployment of cooperative proxy server on TANet. The latter is survey of current state-of-the-art cooperative proxy server schemes which were proposed in the literature or proprietary product. We study deep into the architecture of each scheme. Then, we make the comparison of these alternatives. From the analysis, we conclude that no one can advantage over the others completely. It depends on what your requirement is. This reveals that although theoretically no problem but it would not guarantee to work well in specific network environment.
