Abstract

Perception layer is the interface between Internet of things (IoT) and the physical world, and its own particularity fundamentally determines that its operation modes and control strategies are required to be energy-efficient. Node scheduling is an effective method to deal with limited energy of perception layer in IoT. This paper proposes an adaptive energy-balanced coordinated node scheduling strategy for low energy consumption and high efficiency in IoT. The proposed algorithm uses the network coverage quality and relative remaining energy level to dynamically adjust the energy consumption of nodes. Experimental results have shown that it can effectively balance energy consumption distribution among nodes.
