Abstract

The purpose of broadcast signcryption is to enable the broadcaster to perform signature and encryption on broadcast messages in a single logical step for a specific set of users. Recently, several broadcast signcryption schemes have been proposed. However, we find the computation costs for almost all broadcast signcryption schemes that have been proposed so far depends on the number of receivers, and it is unacceptable for the broadcast system devices with low computational capabilities in a large wireless networks. Moreover, most of their schemes do not satisfy trusted authority forward secrecy and trusted authority unforgeability. In this paper, we define the generic model and security model of certificateless broadcast signcryption, also we propose a more efficient and secure broadcast signcryption scheme using certificateless public-key cryptography. Our scheme does not have the above shortcomings and eliminates the problems of certificate management and key escrow.
