Special Issue on “Applications on Watermarking and Visual Cryptography”

Theme and Scope

Nowadays, many applications based on multimedia signal processing have been applied into our daily lives. With the proliferation of image and video contents, the issues of information security, data privacy and forensic analysis have attracted a growing number of researchers in the multimedia community. Solutions and progress made in this field will not only bring the end users new experiences in a secure and privacy-preserving manner but also facilitate next generation multimedia applications and tools for the content provider.

The main focus of this special issue will be on the novel proposal of watermarking and visual cryptography techniques for multimedia security and forensics as well as new applications that could be built on top of them. Moreover, new steganalysis approaches are also included in this special issue.

The special issue will become an international forum for researchers of industries and academic institutions to collect the most recent developments in these fields, with a special emphasis given to the improvements and results obtained within the last five years.

For this, this Special Issue of JIT is addressing a call to researchers and academics for innovative papers submissions on the following (not limited) list of topics:

•        Multimedia Watermarking

•        Fingerprinting and encryption

•        Adaptive Steganography and Steganalysis

•        Visual Cryptography and Secret Image Sharing

•        Multimedia forensics and Counter Forensics

•        Source Device Identification and Linking

•        Covert Communication and Surveillance in Internet

•        Communication Protocols for Internet Security

•        Signal Processing in the Encrypted Domain

•
