Special Issue: Selected Papers from “The 11th International Conference on Electronics, Communications and Networks (CECNet 2021)”

Special Issue on Sustainability in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy

Theme and Scope

The concepts of sustainability need to be addressed along with the understanding that sustainable development is not about certificates or awards, but instead it is about the vitality of life on Earth. Rapid development of electrical engineering and information technology in the past decades brings dramatic changes to the way people think and live. Technologies that promote sustainable energy include renewable energy sources, such as hydroelectricity, solar energy, wind energy, wave power, geothermal energy, bioenergy, tidal power and also technologies designed to improve energy efficiency. Costs have fallen dramatically in recent years and continue to fall. Most of these technologies are either economically competitive or close to being so. This special issue encourages sharing new knowledge in the field of sustainable technologies and the environmental impacts. The objectives are to provide the opportunities that have the potential to greatly enhance the infrastructure and capacity for conducting and applying art, science and technology for sustainability. In line with this idea, the performance of sustainable electrical processes, systems and devices should be addressed. This special issue aims to provide a platform for excellent papers from CECNet 2021. Research articles focusing on sustainability in electrical engineering and renewable energy and related topics are welcome for this Special Issue.
