Theme and Scope Recent advances on Internet applications have unleashed considerable effort to our daily life and rise amounts of social issues, such as commercial deviance, infringement, social network problems, and education matters. The effort is involved in many different fields of social science; in particular, sociology, jurisprudence, politics, economics, and management. Therefore, it is necessary to rely on professional knowledge and expertise to recognize the implications of shifts between new Internet applications and our society. This special issue is made for practitioners to contribute with their original research and review papers responding to the requirements of interdisciplinary studies, which provide substantive responses to Internet-related social issues arising in connection with Internet applications. Consequently, our significant achievements are (i) understanding changes toward Internet usages and (ii) predicting the coming tasks in our society. There is an extreme demand to reflect the advanced ideas of Internet usages in different areas. As industrial and academy move on to exploit the technologies, more people will be involved in the benefits and drawbacks of the emerging technology. Hence, significant challenges regarding the researches of the impacts brought by information technology remained.
