Special Issue: Selected manuscripts from “IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics – Taiwan, 2019”

Theme and Scope

The next generation communication and netwok technologies, such as 5G and SDN, continue to emerge to support massive users connectivity and multigigabits downloading speeds. These new communication technologies are required to support ultra-reliable and low-latency communications. Moreover, to cope with advances of machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are raging around the world, especially deep learning (DL), and this trend has proved the values of these technologies in a wide range of applications. The development further reveals that AI technologies will combine with sensors so that traditional sensors can be more intelligent to respond differently to different needs

This special issue will provide a systematic overview and state-of-the-art research in Next Generation Communications and Computer Networks, Intelligence Sensors and Machine Learning Technology, with a special focus on  5G, Intelligence Sensors and Artificial Intelligence technologies, and will outline new developments in fundamental, approaches, methodologies, software systems, and applications in these areas. Submissions should consist of novel ideas, original results, theoretical and applied research in following topics, but not limited to:

-Sampling and Pre-processing for Big Data

-Computing on Network Edge

-Modeling and Algorithms for Big Data Analytics and Data Mining

-Knowledge Mining from Big data

-Internet of Things (IoT)

-Mobile Computing

-Network Security

-Big Data in Sensory Systems

-Green Solutions for Communications Technologies

-Signal processing and application

-Image and video processing

-Speech and Video Processing

-Natural Language Processing

-Vision and Speech Perception

-Music Modelling, Classification and Streaming

-Data Mining and Web Mining Algorithms

-Consumer Electronic Industrial and Scientific Applications

-Social Sciences
