Special Issue: Selected Papers from “COMPUTATIONAL APPROACHES IN CLOUD BASED IoT”.

THEME

Internet of things is the direct network communication to the object without the help of the human to computer and human to human interaction systems. This will be performed in a smart way based on the machine to machine communication system. Cloud computing is a service which offers the storage on the internet. The cloud-based IoT consists of three models namely things, gateway and cloud network. Things referred to as the object and it makes the machine to machine communication. Network gateway uses the open source platform to work the performance and the most important applications are android, arduino and raspberry pi. This will be connected between the things and cloud computing. Network gateway connected through the sensor and network interfaces for more real-time applications.

Usage of internet is increasing around the world and it produces the big data analytics. Storing the data requires cloud computing technology. Computational approaches included in the cloud-based IoT are the machine to machine communication, big data, cloud storage, data analytics and priority action. It is embedded with electronic equipment’s, sensors, and computer software and internet connection.  The applications included in the computational approaches in cloud-based IoT are healthcare applications, data acquisition and agricultural applications. The convergence of IoT and cloud computing is used for data collection and file sharing approaches. IoT is referred to as boss and cloud computing is referred to as the company. This cloud computing based IoT performed in two ways such as high-performance computing and high throughput computing. The combination of high performance and high throughput computing produces the parallelism distributed computing. The parameters included for performance analysis such as throughput, efficiency, reliability and scalability used to perform in future for huge demand computing.

This special issue aims to gather latest research and development achievements in recent trends in computational approaches in cloud-based IoT and to promote their applications in all important research fields.
