| Abstract: |
|
The artificial scoring of billiards not only lacks an automatic method to record the each ball hit into a pocket when player wins a game but also lacks a backend analysis system. Therefore, our system combines RFID, Ethernet and IR with Internet sense capability to make use of UML Object-based analysis technology. We implement a client/server model to design a billiards scoring system with characteristics such instant recording, analysis and broadcasting. This method should be used in athletics for recording the analysis of batting steps. It should be used in billiards contests to setup live scoring. After testing the system, we found that the experimental result has an acceptable level in the identification of billiards balls. Compare to the traditional pen-based scoring method, the new production actually indeed improve the performance while processing data in billiards game. It is worthy for future commercialization by billiards table manufacturers because prototype development costs are low and a certification patent has already been registered in the Republic of China. |
