Ian Ng graduated with a Master of Business Systems from the School of Business Systems, Monash University, Australia in 2001. His final project was on the security aspects of mobile commerce. Johanna Wenny Rahayu received a PhD in Computer Science from La Trobe University, Australia, in 2000. Her thesis was in the area of object-relational database design and transformation technology. This thesis has been awarded as the 2001 Computer Science Association Australia Best PhD Thesis Award. Dr. Rahayu is currently a Senior Lecturer at La Trobe University. She has published two books and numerous research articles. |

| This paper seeks to provide an introduction into mobile commerce security. It will examine the limitations of wireless devices and highlight the current security implementations being used within wireless networks. The main feature in view is the Wireless Transport Layer Security and how it is being used to accommodate other security measures. The understanding of security measures being used in m-commerce should serve as an informative guide to the world of m-commerce. |
